Hello Lovies,
It's been a very challenging year, but I've chosen to remain optimistic!
On this blog, I've re-vamped the appearance, changed a bit of the setting so that it's has a clean & simple look. The content will grow as well so look forward to seeing my new wardrobe projects! Slowly but surely creating beautiful clothing. Of course my ultimate dream is to design my own clothing line and have a brand, but for now we will all have to be patient with the process.
What's New?
I've finished 2 projects which you will be seeing upcoming post soon. The sad news is that I haven't made anything for the autumn season. Winter will hopefully be better (psst I've recently purchased some beautiful fabrics for these cold winter months). I have 2 of what I consider casual looks and if there's any room I plan to make and abaya. I'm not sure if you remember but in one of my previous post I declared I wouldn't be making abayas... Haha oh silly me! I take that back and you can definitely look forward to seeing my abaya creations.
... I'll also be Vlogging my project on Youtube and you can follow me on Instagram as well! This way you can follow along and see my progress. Or you can give me Ayn whatever's your fancy lol.
Also, I'm all about the chic, clean and simple look. So a little heads up, I only wear tones in the colour grey, light/soft pink/nude, cream/ivory, navy & black. You may see appearances of light blue but only with the cream/ivory colour. The taupe-like colours with pink. Deep burgundy-reds with black. Like I said, it's possible but I'm a creature of habit. Obviously, I will have gold and silver accents. I guess you will have to wait and see for yourselves.
Dress lovely, be lovely

How to Dress
Argh! It's been like almost a year since I last posted on this blog. I'm happy that I haven't deleted it lol because that's usually was I resort to doing. Well lovies, I'm back and here to share my beautiful world of fashion. You probably think what does a Niqabi have to do with fashion? I'm not your typical Niqabi that's for sure. I'm that "sugar, spice & everything nice" kinda gal.
For me if I were to describe myself, I'm high maintenance. This only means that I have strong values and high standards for myself and the people that are around me. When it come to fashion, I appreciate a modest fashion sense around ladies. However, around the Zawj anything goes. I truly believe there's a time and place for every type of clothing. And of course, always classy never trashy!
As a muslim we are taught what is appropriate to wear around women and men (whether mahrem or not). And I find a lot of women are touchy when it comes to the Hadith regarding dressing around women. Like the most basic form of dress is covering from bellybutton to the knees and a women who has more haya (shyness/modesty) should cover more*. That's pretty much the basics of dressing as a muslim woman in front of other muslim women. After that, honestly it's all cultural stuff. So, depending on the event, brush up on cultural customs to not offend others nor embarrass yourself.
I was invited once to an all women's gathering and I was told to get really dressed up. And so I did. The joke was on me- I was the only one dressed up. I was so embarrassed, I felt I looked like a christmas tree in the middle of a forest. Little did I know, the women attending this gathering frowned upon anyone that dress up. Good thing though, the hostess was happy to see me dressed up (modestly and elegantly) and was disappointed in her other guests. All I know is that I vowed never to return to that kind of event. If I ever did, I would dress up even more next time, just to rub it in their faces!
This I why, ladies, it is important to know where you are going and how to dress up for the event. Don't be afraid to ask what kind of event it is, formal, semi-formal or even if it's simply casual. Rule of thumb for me-> ALWAYS LOOK GOOD!!!

*Dress how you want... I've be confronted on many occasions by women (jealous might I add)
in regards to the appropriation of my dress code basic on religious proof...
Let's just say I leave them all speechless when I'm done giving them a piece of mind.
