My love for lingerie!

So I haven't yet sewed anything with my first purchased patterns because I ran out of parchment paper to trace all the available sizes out.  However, I did find time to feed my life long (well since puberty we can say) obsession for lingerie.  I would just like to say first before I begin

IT TOTALLY SUCKS HOW THE LINGERIE PATTERNS I WANTED ARE NOW GONE!!! #BOOOOOO!!!

Now that I got that out of my system, I shall proceed.  I settled for a more vintage classic sexy look to start then I will let my creativity take over.  It's not necessarily the type of lingerie you would typically wear out of the house running errands... you kinda need something more sturdy lol.  This is something you wear when you are preparing yourself for a diner date with your hubby.  It's something you can easy lounge in and still remain sexy.  Well see for yourself and check out the picture below.  Now that you're back, the pattern looks quite difficult and to top it off, it came with no instructions.  Talk about putting myself to the test.  It will be a challenge, but once again it's a work in progress and I will trace out all the sizes because I want to create my own line of lingerie.  Like c'mon ladies let's be realistic here, I have to share my love for lingerie with all of you beautiful readers.  I'll be stuck at home all day so I might as well do something fun and exciting that will be kept secret for all my BEO* clientele.  

Not gonna lie though, I've sort of given up on the Abaya making idea.  I know, I'm disappointed too... So, I thought what a great idea it would be to make instead of abayas but elegant dresses to wear in the home when guests come to visit.  Still modest, lots of elegance.  I'm not one to dress down and bare everything for all women to see but I think it would be a much better hit.  I saw some very beautiful abayas on Instagram and I'm not about to compete with that.  Nope, not today!  I will have to make due with what I can do based on my creativity and love for modest fashion.

In the picture above, you can see the classic high-waisted briefs also know as granny panties.  They have come back in style as it will accentuate the beautiful shape and natural feminine curves women possess.  The oh-so-soft cup bra that will allow the bosoms to dance to their natural rhythm.  And the teddy, which is the full piece demonstrated as 'A'.  This can worn at in the comfort of the home as a slight pyjama while deciding what you shall wear, while putting on makeup, doing your hair.  The rest I'm sure you may all figure it out.

My First Online Purchase!

Ahhhhh!!! So recently I came out from under a rock (haha) and finally opened a Paypal account.  I know eh: Welcome to the real world Duni! I've been wanting for so many years (since childhood) to open a store/line and make my own clothing.  So... I just got my first online purchase from Easy.com, a pattern for making simple elegant abayas.  Well, it's actually a traditional Hawaiian muumuu.  It's pretty much the same thing.  Surprisingly enough this package came within a week.  Mind you, it felt like a month probably due to sheer excitement.  I've never really gotten mail before in a form of a package so I felt special.  A gift to myself! YEAH!

Let me tell you, the ideas are just rushing through my mind right now, it's incredible!  But will I be able to actually make this dress?  My first project was a high-waisted maxi skirt.  That alone was a bit complicated for a beginner.  All that material and steps can be overwhelming, and I've never done a dress.  This piece seems really advanced and I have a lot of new technics to learn.  Good thing this comes with an instruction index.  I'm not too sure if I would manage with out.  Alhamdulillah for YouTube...  If I need help I'll just have to look up the proper video.  Who honestly needs to pay to take classes? Honestly!  Oh well, I do love a good challenge.  I will be blogging my progress as well as posting on Instagram too!  Oh this is so exciting!
